Family Outings

We've been so busy doing...I've not been posting. Here are some pics from a few weekends ago when we spent some time at CoSi and the park! We are looking forward to this weekend for our Auntie Heather to come and stay with us. If the weathers nice we want to take her to the park, if not maybe another trip to CoSi!

"You Got Me Minced!?"

Sorry if you don't recognize the title of this blog...It's a commercial that is on right now with a little girl discussing with mother the decision to buy her fish sticks with minced fish meat... "Have you ever caught a minced fish?" Sorry it makes me laugh... I am thinking about this as I watch Annabelle loving some fish sticks and ketchup (whole fillet not minced! :-) Yesterday, we had another fun eating day. We let Annabelle try her very first taste of peanut butter! I gave her a pretzel stick with a tad of peanut butter on it. She put it into her mouth and gave an instant Mmmmmm. I'm not sure I've ever seen her sign 'more' so enthusiastically! Very fun. I made her a little peanut butter sandwich for dinner. I took a picture of her eating it to mark the occasion!

Too Much Fun to Blog!?

Wow!!! It's been a while since I've blogged. We have been very busy throughout February, jetting off to Baltimore to visit Auntie Heather and Uncle Scottie and getting outdoors whenever the weather is permissible. Annabelle loves to be out and about. She is quite the people watcher. Nick and I have commented many times that we wish she were able to express what she was thinking about all she's seeing. Soon enough, I'm sure. Many mothers have told me I'll be wishing the opposite when she does actually decide to share those thoughts with the world...we'll see. Some words AB does consistently say are; ball, moo, kitty, uh-oh, hey, hi, yeah, Dada, Mama (when shes really upset), a version of Boom and a version of cock-a-doodle-do. She signs a bit, especially at meal time. Signing, more, all done and eat. Just recently during meal time we've been letting her take charge with the spoon or fork. This in most cases results in more food on AB than in AB's belly and many more trips to the bathtub. It's all worth it when she smiles that goopy smile after she connected spoon to mouth and says "Yeah!!"

Mommy and Daddy both conquered a few milestones as well. I jetted off to Baltimore for an all girls weekend leaving AB for the first time for more than one night...and Nick had his first AB-Daddy weekend! It was a lot of fun for everyone.
This month, we're planning to spend every nice afternoon outside on wagon rides and trips to the park. We can't wait for spring to take full bloom. :-)
