Little AB and I were driving to the library last night for story time when she said, pointing to her tummy,
"Mommy, right here in my tummy, is my heart." I said "Really!?"
AB: "Well if I told you that I didn't love you-your heart in your tummy will be broken."
Me: "Yes, it would make me sad if you told me that you didn't love me...."
AB: "And if you told me that you didn't love/"
Me: "AB I would NEVER EVER say those words EVER because I will always love you!
AB: "I not saying that Mommy! I was just saying that if you said that my heart in my tummy would be broken and I would cry!"
Me: "Well it's a good thing that I love you more than anything and I would never ever say anything different. You are my sweet girl!"
AB: "I love you too, Mommy, so your heart in your tummy will not break."
What an amazing conversation to have on a 5 minute drive to the library. I wish I could know what brought these thoughts to her... You just wonder where it comes from.
On a lighter note today the conversation was entertaining but not much less thought provoking. Annabelle came out into the kitchen making a strange sound with her nose. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "Mommy, I can't finish my yogurt breakfast." I without giving it much thought (I should have thought it over more) asked why?
AB: "I can't eat anymore of my yogurt because I have a toe-nail growing in my nose." She made the funny sound again and said, "See I can't blow it out so I can't eat my yogurt anymore."
