Christmas, A New Year, A Birthday & Jack Boyle!

I've added a video with a quick overview of the holidays.  I can't believe it's January 20th and I'm just now updating.  I'm not going to claim 'business' just BLISS!  lol- I'm so happy each and everyday.  Staying home, as I've stated before, is hard work.  When I do stop for a moment, I instantly think "What should I be doing?"  Unfortunately, the answer hasn't seemed to be "I should be updating the blog!"  We are so blessed to have such an amazing family and the holidays always seem to show you just how lucky you are!  We loved spending time with 'not so little' Liam, Heather and Scott!  Having a Christmas over nighter with Nana and Pap.  Shopping at Easton with Mimzey and Dano and fun baking cookies with Silly Grandpa and Yaya!  AND how lucky is AB to be able to have spent Christmas Day with all of her Grandparents!  Mimzey, Dano, Silly Grandpa, Yaya, Nana and Pap~ thank you for traveling to our house for Christmas Day!  It really makes the day SO much more special.  Sparkle the dog is our other little pet!  Not, sure if you've had the privilege to meet her... If you have you've probably noticed that she looks an awful lot like Annabelle.  Probably because it is Annabelle... She is so dedicated to this character that Santa brought Sparkle her very own stocking! These things don't last forever.  Nick and I wanted to really enjoy every moment.  Already, after a few months of becoming Sparkle it's starting to fade.  In the moments of Sparkle time it can feel like it will never end.... but when you think about how quickly peanuts grow and how they move through interests and play, it doesn't ever seem to last long enough.  Needless to say, we enjoyed Sparkle through the holidays!
After Christmas, the days flew by!  Before we knew it it was New Year's Eve.  We went over to my cousin's for a family friendly celebration.  Annabelle watched the ball drop for the first time in her little life and had a slumber party in Mommy and Daddy's bed!  After the New Year was officially rang in ~the focus (as it's been since AB was in my belly back in the new year of 2008) was Annabelle's "birfday!"  When Annabelle says four it comes out like "fouror" she does the same thing with words like "dooror & moreor"! She adds another syllable!  LOL, again one of those sweet things that won't last long enough.  We celebrated as a family on Ab's official 4th birthday and then we had her 'friend' party at Wendy's Gym!  I think this may be the time to discuss Jack Boyle.  Annabelle, when you read this, you should know that Jack Boyle is your official first boyfriend.  I know Daddy would NEVER say the word boyfriend out loud but you are so crazy for Jack Boyle!  He is a little buddy you've met at preschool.
Jack and Annabelle are very protective of one another.  At her party she was able to go first when doing any of the activities.  Jack told anyone who tried to be 2nd... "First is AB and then me!"  lol- When Annabelle found out that Jack was coming to her party she was so very excited.  She bought some chap-stick at Target and was putting some on in the car.  She said, "I'm going to look so beautiful for Jack Boyle at my party."  LOL!  I almost lost it.  Jack can only be referred to as "Jack Boyle" in Annabelle's company or she'll be sure to correct you!  The cutest moment between the two of them was when she saw that Jack Boyle had gotten her a birthday present, standard procedure when it comes to birthday parties, but not in Ab's eyes!  She got up and walked over to him and gave him a great big hug ~SHE HADN'T EVEN OPENED THE GIFT YET!  She was just so thrilled that he brought her a gift!  When we left the party she told us in the car.  "I gave Jack Boyle a sweet hug."  :-)  How cute!  Even her teachers are in on the 'relationship'.  I helped volunteer with Jack's mom one morning unloading kiddos from their cars and taking them into school.  Jack and AB were both at school early.  Mrs. Gavin and Mrs. English said "Oh, how perfect!  How did they know to put your two families together for Stop, Drop and Go?!"  Annabelle, you've fallen hard!  It's so much fun to watch you make new friends!

Annabelle,
On you being four!  Wow, where did all of this time go!  I know we've had a blast so far but I still can't believe you ARE FOUR YEARS OLD!  You must not believe it either, because most days at least once or twice you ask me.  "I'm still four, right Mommy?"
