More Fun in the Sun!

We had a lot of fun playing with our Katie Sue over the past week. We were able to have her to our house for a sleep over and we spent two afternoons at the Miss Cathy, Dr. Tom, and Miss Katie Sue's swimming pool! Below is a photo of AB and Miss Katie Sue being silly girls in the pool. The rest are sill little shots of AB at Katy, Lucas, and Baby Carter's house.

Meet She-Ra & Swift-Wind... Well Annabelle's version anyway. AB loves to watch He-Man and She-Ra. She's our vintage girl, it's true. A week or so ago she stripped a blonde Barbie down and got out this Barbie Princess pony and started pretending. Annabelle has the best imagination. The funniest pretend moment while playing with Miss Katie Sue was when Katie started using a lower voice and Annabelle told her she was a girl and had to use a girl voice. lol. That was all the amo that Katie needed. From that moment on she used her low voice until Annabelle corrected her.

Ha Ha AB! You're eating Veggies!

Annabelle is a VERY picky eater! I know that it's very common for a three year old to be picky but we worry sometimes about how many nutrients she is getting. Yesterday, we went to Whole Foods and started looking around. She came out with a bag of almonds and raisins and two of these little "Juice bags". It's really just a organic puree mix (Baby food). It's made by a really neat company called Ella's Kitchen. I was just so excited because Annabelle wanted to try them. She has not had a real veggie in a very long time so I was relieved when she squirted it in her mouth and smiled! Praise Jesus, the girl likes it! 130% Vit. A! Of course I left out some details when giving it to AB....like the veggies that were mixed inside, that it was made for little babies (4 months +) and that it was very good for her. :-)
Watch out Whole Foods we'll be back today to buy more! Stock up!
It's so nice when you find a product that gets it. They have adorable packaging AND the trick is you can not see what is inside! Brilliant! Annabelle wouldn't touch pureed veggies with a ten foot pole, however, this really fun "juice bag" is yummy!

Trip to Auntie Em, Uncle Scottie and Liam's House

We had so much fun visiting with Liam, Scott and Heather! Annabelle was talking about driving down to visit. She said, "It only take us 3 minutes." We all WISH that were true. We miss them already!
We went to Butler's Orchard to pick some blueberries!
It was a very cute farm. You could pick blueberries and blackberries when we were there this time. We are hoping during our visit in August we'll be able to do some strawberry picking!
You park your car and a tractor pulled carriage takes you out to the blueberry orchard. Above is AB relaxing on the ride out to pick blueberries!
"Try one Liam!" AB likes to pick blueberries but doesn't like to eat them right now. She is so funny about food. One week she'll eat 4 cups of blueberries and the next she doesn't like them at all. On this trip Annabelle ate only:
Life cereal
Strawberries
Chicken on a Stick (Chicken kabob)
Rotisserie Chicken
Pizza
Mac and Cheese
Red Raspberries
and any sweets she could talk someone into!
Liam is such a sweet boy! He is the happiest baby boy I've ever met. He will smile and laugh at the drop of a hat. It really made his Auntie Ryan feel really really funny! Thanks Liam!
See. Smiling again!
Annabelle makes it her mission to NEVER look at the camera! LOL- really fun for a Mommy who ALWAYS has her camera out!
The weather during our visit was soo beautiful. Highs in the low 80's with no humidity. We had to wear lots of sun screen but it was so fun just being outside.
Annabelle did a nice job on the car ride there about back. The van helps with it's DVD player and wireless headphones. We can all be relaxing on the trip. She'll know the ride to Liam's house as -A movie, nap and part of another movie. lol.
We came home with close to 10 cups of blueberries! Today, Annabelle and I made some blueberry muffins and I know that Liam was having his blueberries pureed with his peaches!
Scott wasn't happy with this look...but that's what happens when Auntie Ryan is babysitting!

Thank you Heather, Scott and Liam for making our trip so very fun! We are counting down the days until someone's very first birthday! We can't wait to celebrate!

Roles Reversed!?!

What a curious day in the Montgomery Household. Do you ever feel like up is down and left is right? Do you start to do a job like unload the dishwasher to only find it sitting wide open an hour later half unloaded because you went off on another tangent and forgot about the task at hand? As a Mom, I find the adventures of A DAY-even one spent at home surprisingly interesting. Today was no disappointment. I was, let's just say, having an off day. Maybe a bit tired from late nights with Auntie Em and Uncle Scottie... Regardless of the cause I was having an off day. After having lunch with Great Grams and wishing Scott, Heather and Liam a safe trip home, AB settled down for a nap. Annabelle is potty trained, however, she does still wear a pull-up at night. We keep those said pull-ups in her bedroom closet. After Annabelle woke up from her nap she decided instead of going ten steps into the bathroom to go potty that she would instead- - -take off her pants.... open her closet... put on a pull-up...go potty...take off the pull-up and put her pants back on. As I said... interesting day. I was talking to her about her reasoning for this decision. She told me panties weren't big enough to hold pee pee but pull-ups were. When I asked why she hadn't gone to the bathroom to go potty she responded, taking a serious look and sitting down in her bean-bag chair-
"Mommy, we'll have that talk another time."

Who's in charge here???!!!??? lol

After dinner, we were sitting at the table and Annabelle asked to watch something on TV. When I told her it was too late and we needed to get ready for bed she got a little huffy and stated very sternly her TV request once more. I told her that she didn't need to yell-that it would not change my answer. Her response was...
"Mommy, I not yelling. We are having a conversation."
I didn't know three year old children had "conversations" but apparently our three year old does!

Later, as Annabelle was tucking me into bed. Yep, that is not a type-o. I was so cranky, it was decided by Daddy and Annabelle that I be put to bed at once. So as Annabelle was tucking me in she said, "Tomorrow, you will have a better day Mommy." (man I must have seemed in bad shape)- She then switched off the lights and told me that she would leave the hall light on for me just in case I was scared. :-)
Some days are up and some are down...Some go all over the place... But even days when you are completely off in right field they are made significantly better when you have Annabelle around to tie up all the loose ends.

The Fourth!

The Upper Arlington Fireworks were absolutely amazing last night! We had our doubts as we were walking up to the park and had to shimmy through a sea of middle school kids to find a spot... But, when the first fireworks lit the sky it was like magic. Annabelle's reaction to being so close to the show was unforgettable. She was so excited and would belly laugh with joy when she saw them going off right above her!
Best attempt out of 4!
The excitement in her eyes is all you need to see. She was beyond impressed.
I had the best view, laying on the blanket looking up as Annabelle sat enjoying the show. She was mesmerized and so was I.
