Roles Reversed!?!

What a curious day in the Montgomery Household. Do you ever feel like up is down and left is right? Do you start to do a job like unload the dishwasher to only find it sitting wide open an hour later half unloaded because you went off on another tangent and forgot about the task at hand? As a Mom, I find the adventures of A DAY-even one spent at home surprisingly interesting. Today was no disappointment. I was, let's just say, having an off day. Maybe a bit tired from late nights with Auntie Em and Uncle Scottie... Regardless of the cause I was having an off day. After having lunch with Great Grams and wishing Scott, Heather and Liam a safe trip home, AB settled down for a nap. Annabelle is potty trained, however, she does still wear a pull-up at night. We keep those said pull-ups in her bedroom closet. After Annabelle woke up from her nap she decided instead of going ten steps into the bathroom to go potty that she would instead- - -take off her pants.... open her closet... put on a pull-up...go potty...take off the pull-up and put her pants back on. As I said... interesting day. I was talking to her about her reasoning for this decision. She told me panties weren't big enough to hold pee pee but pull-ups were. When I asked why she hadn't gone to the bathroom to go potty she responded, taking a serious look and sitting down in her bean-bag chair-
"Mommy, we'll have that talk another time."

Who's in charge here???!!!??? lol

After dinner, we were sitting at the table and Annabelle asked to watch something on TV. When I told her it was too late and we needed to get ready for bed she got a little huffy and stated very sternly her TV request once more. I told her that she didn't need to yell-that it would not change my answer. Her response was...
"Mommy, I not yelling. We are having a conversation."
I didn't know three year old children had "conversations" but apparently our three year old does!

Later, as Annabelle was tucking me into bed. Yep, that is not a type-o. I was so cranky, it was decided by Daddy and Annabelle that I be put to bed at once. So as Annabelle was tucking me in she said, "Tomorrow, you will have a better day Mommy." (man I must have seemed in bad shape)- She then switched off the lights and told me that she would leave the hall light on for me just in case I was scared. :-)
Some days are up and some are down...Some go all over the place... But even days when you are completely off in right field they are made significantly better when you have Annabelle around to tie up all the loose ends.
